Fortschritt farm tractors

Fortschritt was founded in former East Germany and is a company that is renowned for offering a multitude of tractors to the locals. The word Fortschritt means “progress” in the German language and the company has stood up to its title by playing an active role in the growth and development of the German economy by enabling locals to perform a wide array of tasks. The company was founded in 1948 but was renamed Fortschritt in 1955. 1964 came as a major year for the brand when it started the development of the ZT series that became a reason for the company’s fame. The principal reason behind this fame was the state of the art technology featured by these machines. However, a lack of interest in the field of R&D led to stagnation. The tractor production came to a complete halt in the year 1989. The remaining Fortschritt assets were then acquired by Case, however, all facilities were finally closed in 2004. During its operations, Fortschritt offered a total of 10 different tractor models to its customers. These machines had powers ranging between 15 and 180 horsepower. Some of the tractor models offered by Fortschritt included but were not limited to GT 124, ZT 403 and R-S 09.
