Stihl farm tractors

Stihl is a German manufacturing company that was founded in 1926 and is still headquartered in Waiblingen. The company has over 4 billion euros in revenue, making it a hulking beast in the equipment manufacturing industry. Stihl offered compact-sized tractors to clients between the years 1949 and 1965. The main idea behind the conception of Stihl’s tractor producing division was to capitalize on the post-WW-II era when tractors were in high demand. The company could only offer a total of 5 different tractor models to its customers which had two cycle air cooled diesel engines delivering power in between 12 and 30 hp. These tractor models were 140, 144, 381, S 15 and S 20. Consequently, it was no match for the might of other major tractor manufacturing giants of the era that had hundreds of tractor models with powers easily reaching triple-digit figures. As a result, Stihl could not succumb to the competition and eventually halted its tractor manufacturing within two decades. However, the company still offers a diverse range of products under the same branding. It is currently the number one brand of chainsaws globally. Other items offered by Stihl include Hedge trimmers, Blowers and Shredders just to name a few.
